Are you planning to apply for permanent residency? Make sure you have the necessary documents ready. You'll need an FBI Background Check, your Birth Certificate, and your Passport, and all three of these documents need to be apostilled.
To obtain an FBI Background Check, visit the FBI's website to place your order. After ordering, you'll need to visit a US Post Office that does fingerprinting. The post office will submit your fingerprints directly to the FBI, and you should receive the background check within a week. Once you have the FBI background check, send it to the State Department to get it apostilled. It's recommended that you use a professional service to do this for you, which should cost around $150. Note that the FBI background check is only valid for 90 days, so be aware you need to visit the country for residency before it expires
If you can't locate your original Birth Certificate or don't want to mail it in, you can order a certified copy from the state you were born in. Once you have the certified copy, you'll need to send it to the state for an apostille. Be prepared to provide a cover letter and specify which country the apostille is for.
For your Passport, you'll need to make a color copy of the entire passport, including all stamps. Take the copies to a UPS store to get them notarized.
Once you have all the documents prepared, email your Bitcoin Capitalist attorney to begin the residency process. Your attorney will verify that everything checks out and give you the green light to visit in person and obtain residency.
